Bakery: is it possible to split up the order/payment?[not needed, now dead]

Hi,

what i need is when someone does "buy" on the order summary page it takes them to a "wait for approval" stage (possibly even to a separate page just there for this purpose).

If the order is approved by "superuser" then the customer is to be allowed to proceed to the payment stage.

During this wait stage the customer is to be allowed to log out / login without the order / status being affected.

Has anyone seen this method implemented or have ideas for it?
