Hi Peter,

Good CFS info. I've been dealing with it for 18 years. Yes, it's a different life. BTW, nice design. get it off your Powerbook and onto a real server, okay?

Thanks dude. It;s on my powerbook coz really its only meant for me to try stuff out- it started out with me just wanting some kinda of system to store details and try out apps.... hehe

whatever:
First of all, it's too bright. You should either change the color of the main content page or the dark background color.

Second, I'm not sure what you're trying to do with this Website. Are you trying to sell houses or promote a Rock and Roll band?

Remove the flashing gifs - they're annoying.

Remove the XHTML gif - as an average visitor this means nothing to me and has nothing to do with selling houses. Or promoting Rock bands for that matter.

Everything past the Welcome heading at the bottom of the page should be removed. I don't care what machine your running the site on or who's hosting it. And I don't think you need to tell people that they will not be able to view your site if your machine is down. That would be rather obvious wouldn't it?

Personally, when someone comes to my Home Page I don't want to offer them a way immediately off of my site, i.e. search engines or links to someone else's site. Amazon can get it's own viewers and you're never going to make a whole bunch off of being an affiliate salesman.

I realize that this is your personal site and you want to have some fun with it and test your creative talents. And that's fine, but take into consideration some of the things I mentioned if you decide to go beyond a personal site.
