In my opinion, the loading times of the single sites are too long due to the animations.

Looks beautifull .

Nice fade in effects, loading time seems ok whith me.(haven't tested it on 56k)
Even functional whithout Java script thats good.

The Flash potal page looks nice but will kill your Google ranking. 
I would at least add some normal links to the different languages of your page as an alternative.
And i would would add some links to the different language versions on each page.

You should take the time and run it through the W3C Validator its only 1 error  and 4 warnings , all are easy to fix (4x " " whithout ";" and one "," where it does not belong.)

Thanks for the info I don't usually test on validation depends on the client sometimes it's such a headache I wish I hadn't done it  :-o :-D
