Duplicate Template?
(1/1)
KP:
I've modified the "allcss" template to a point that I like it, but would now like to have multiple, or duplicate, templates of the same template, with slight differences on the same site. So I tried renaming it and that didn't work. I even tried reinstalling the original ZIPPED file, but that didn't work because "it already exists." Simply put, how do I make a duplicate template on the same website that I can make minor edits to?
Probably a simple solution, but I couldn't find anything useful in the forum and I just can't get it to work.
Thanks, kevin

ok. at first: you can install 500 different templates where each is named 'template.zip'
WB does'nt identify a template by the name of the archive....
have a look inside the file info.php
$template_directory = 'mytmpl_01';
$template_name = 'My own Template 01';
$template_directory = 'mytmpl_02';
$template_name = 'My own Template 02';
$template_directory = 'mytmpl_03';
$template_name = 'My own Template 03';
these both variables makes the difference between your templates......
