Hi,

I've just installed the above theme on my website and I like its appearance.  However it has hard-coded links in the top menu.  I'm trying to either remove these hard-coded links or at least give them more meaningful names and point them to valid urls.  I've searched this Forum with regards to how to do this.....and I can't find anything or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

If anyone can advise me on how to remove/rename these hard-coded links, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Craig

Most HARDCODED links are in the templates\<templatename>\index.php
Use AFE for easy editing ;)

Otherwise follow these steps:
1 - unzip template in its directory
2 - edit index.php
3 - zip the contents of the directory - NOT the directory itself
4 - reïnstall template through wb backend.

But as I said, AFE is so much easier ->

Have fun,

Hi John,

I installed the AFE module and it worked perfectly thanks.

Easier is to just FTP the template to the template dir, add it once to WB using the Admin > Add-ons > Advanced > Reload function. After that you can just work in your regular local editor and FTP any changes directly to the tempate dir without having to reinstall the emplate, or work on it in an online editor.

Also, personally I like the more powerful http://www.websitebakers.com/pages/admin/admin-tools/webbase-edit.php more, for editing directly online, but it's a matter of taste.

pcwacht:
@Argos,
AFE has ftp build in, so it will work nearly allways

Webbaseedit doesn't have ftp, so at most servers there will be file ownership issues.

Therefore I suggested AFE.

Have fun,
John
