Buggy templates listed on the Add-ons repository

Waldschwein:
Hello!

I think judging templates or add-ons by downloads is not that good.
The "best" idea is: Remove all templates (doesn't matter if people see it or just "behind the curtain") and then setting up a list. Like "XHTML / CSS Valid", "Displays in: IE7, IE8, Firefox, Opera, WebKit...", "Looks good positioned", "..."
And then count up from 0. If - let's say - at least 5 from 10 points appear "green", then all this templates are on a "to-do list" where the not reached points are either fixed or just mentioned.

Yes, Chios site is good, quite as it's for modules AMASP. But - both are no official sites, and we either have to display here on wb2.org good add-ons (modules, templates...) or just none. It would be no shame if there are no add-ons on wb2.org at all. ;-) Better none than no good ones, then a link to an external site would be much better.

Yours Michael

Hi,

That was how Chio has done the downselection of available templates as he started his Template showcase. He put an Excel file together with lots of information about available templates, pros- and cons, quality and much more. Maybe this "old" list is a good starting point.

Hi,

not a bug but a comment on template Zenlike.

Zenlike uses it´s own PHP code to retrieve News from the WB news DB table. This code could be replaced with the Anynews in a future version.
