News Module edit boxes height
« on: May 31, 2009, 03:04:18 PM »
Ever since the change to FCKEDitor from htmlArea the short edit box on the edit/new post view of news module has been too short since the toolbar now take more room.

I have submitted a updated file for inclusion into version 2.8 that contains more sane heights but it wont be included unless there is community agreement  to have it added.

The purpose of this thread is to get user feedback on this potential change and also suggested heights for the text entry boxes.

Edited heights:

Attached is the file i submitted... check it out and suggest size / give your thought on including the change.

Since the short text is meant for just 1 or a few lines, I think your suggested space is too big. Maybe a bit larger can do no harm, but such a large space as you want is annoying in my opinion. Many times the short texts are not even used at all...

that was a rough suggestion... another point to this thread was to get user input on the size to use.

OK, my suggestion is 3 or 4 lines.

Good size... how about a size like that pre-set with dragger on bottom to re-size edit box on the fly.
