How to integrate a Flash header in a css template?
« on: April 14, 2009, 04:39:14 AM »
Hello,
Im newby in WB and i think every think is so easy to manage. The only thing is causing me several headaches are the template customization.

I need to integrate at least a flash header in the template layout, i have done on the templates made with tables, but my problem is: how to do it with the templates made of CSS programing, i mean divs and css stylesheet.

Do you have any idea to do this ? i will appreciate it very much.

Thanks

That depends on the template you use. But most of the times you just have to see where the header image is and replace that with a flash image.

You will find basic css templates at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/layouts/. Just customize the html file there, add the WB varaibles (header, content etc. - see help section).

To include a flash movie, use the embed- or object tag. Important: Use an absolute URL to the flash movie or place the wb_url variable in the path.

Example:

Code: [Select]
<object classid="CLSID:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="600" height="400"
          codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash2/cabs/swflash.cab#version=10,0,0,0">
    <param name="movie" value="<?php echo WB_URL; ?>/path_to_movie/movie.swf">
    <param name="quality" value="high">
    <param name="scale" value="exactfit">
    <param name="menu" value="true">
    <param name="bgcolor" value="#000040">
    <embed src="<?php echo WB_URL; ?>/path_to_movie/movie.swf" quality="high" scale="exactfit" menu="false"
           bgcolor="#000000" width="600" height="400" swLiveConnect="false"
           type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
           pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash">
    </embed>
  </object>
