First WebsiteBaker site

Hi,

I completed my first WebsiteBaker site a few months ago but just thought of posting it here.

www.CatherineGrenie r.com

BTW, I've tried installing Google Analytics but I can't get it to validate in Google. I put the code into the templates in the index.php files and also added it to the splash screen (intro.php). When I click to Check Status in Google Analytics, I just get the message:

Tracking Unknown (Last checked: 2008-07-08 11:16 AM PST.)
The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.

I would appreciate any help with this, and any other comments people might have.

Thanks!
Olivier

diodak:
Nice design.

Analytics need some time to start working, I think cuple hours.

Stefek:
Nice design indeed.

I like the colours!
Great job!

The analytics code is working with WB very well.
Just add the generated JS before the closing body tag  (</body>)

Should work.

Best Regads,
Stefek

Ruud:
Good looking site.

One advice, have a look with Firefox too. Your homepage newsblock is not showed correctly.

Also, the link on the multimedia page below the image  is not working.

About the analytics: If it takes too long (i.e. 2 days or so)

Google will test your main (splash) page.
It is known that other scripts can interfere with the google scripts.
The solution is to put the google script in the header section before any other script.
In your case, you should only have to do this for your intro.php page, it looks like the other pages are good.

Cheers,

Ruud

marathoner:
Very attractive site. Nice job on the design.

A couple of minor things that you might want to address:

* As Ruud mentioned, your newsblock overflows the page in FF3.
* There are a couple of minor XHTML validation errors.
* On your intro.php page...probably much faster/cleaner to use CSS hover instead of JS for your hover effect.
